Real world examples of what it would be like to see alien life.
Something that is just so different in many ways, yet you can still recognize each piece of it.
Insects, tiny animals we will probably never (and very grateful for it) see it human sized.

could be -Sympetrum striolatum- but I'm not sure
sorry for scientific name but I don't know what it is called in english, cause I'm dutch :P

i would have to weigh in with damsel fly, but it would be nice to have some sense of scale to be sure. i shoot a lot of dragonflies, and they tend to look bigger than this with longer wings.
